Chateau
Melodrama Dinner Theater…
Presents “Honesty Always Wins”
Celebrating its 30th year under
current management, and 48 ongoing years of family entertainment, the Iron
Springs Chateau
Melodrama Dinner Theater presents “Honesty Always Wins” by Vicki
Kelly and Bruce Littrell.
Lonely gold miner, Big Buck Brawny comes to town looking for a wife and his eyes fall immediately on heroine, Honesty Worthmore, who struggles to keep the local café afloat with the help of her tipsy mama.
As the plot unfolds, they discover that they were
bilked out of their family fortune by the richest
man in town, Uriah Pinch.
But, Buck saves the day, and after an exciting chase right through the audience, Uriah receives his just desserts.
Per tradition, audience participation is highly encouraged.
The cast includes: Noah Hensley, Kelly Raymond, Bart Crosswhite, and Sharon Wolfe. The melodrama is directed by Robery Kelly with piano underscoring and accompaniment by Bruce Littrell.
Following the melodrama, Roger Claman will
present a fun filled sing-a-long intermission. Interspersed with comedy, the
sing-a-long intermission celebrates anniversaries and birthdays in the crowd and
gives the audience an opportunity to warm
up their vocal cords on some old
standards.
Then, the melodrama cast returns to present the “Vaudeville Style Olio”, a potpourri of music, dance, and comedy numbers.
From a zany Hawaiian hula to a comedy ballet, from an audience participation salute to “moms” to a nautical salute to “men”, from a red hot mama torch singer to a comedy poetry skit called “Trinkling”, the “Vaudeville Style Olio” is sure to have something for all ages.
Musical direction for the entire production by Bruce Littrell with some arrangements by Kathy Okvath, and choreography and costumes by Vicki Kelly. Backstage tech by Steve Simmons with spotlight by Roger Claman.
Accompanying the production is the Chateau’s family-style oven fried chicken with barbequed beef brisket dinner. Dinner arrival is 6-6:45pm, with showtime at 8pm. Dinner and show prices: Adult $28.50, Senior $27, Child $15.
Show Only prices: Adult $15.50, Senior $14.50, Child $9.50. Group rates for 10 or more are available.
