Born and raised in Holland, Michigan and of Dutch descent, Rev. Plagenhoef, MD did his undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University, his graduate studies at the University of Michigan Medical School, his internship at Blodgett Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, became board certified in Family Practice in 1979 and became an Ordained Minister in 1990.

He practiced Western Medicine as a Family Practice Physician for over 30 years and was a Charter Member of Michigan Holistic Health Association. 

His long list of memberships and activities include American Academy of Family Practice, American College of Medical Advancement,

Great Lakes Association of Clinical Medicine, Michigan State Medical Society, Past President (2 terms) – Allegan County Medical Society, and Past Chief of Staff – Pipp Community Hospital, Plainwell, Michigan.

Within his 30+ years of practice, he specialized in his later 25 years in Holistic and Sports medicine.  He was a High School Team Physician for 15 years. 

He became a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Practice, a Diplomat in the American Board of Family Practice, Allegan County Representative to Michigan State Medical Society for 8 years, Physician Director – Unity of Palm Beaches Health, Education & Research Center (with focus on addictions), and Medical Director-Biotherapies in Stuart, Florida.

Rev. Plagenhoef, MD studied post graduate courses in traditional and non-traditional topics including:

Nutrition, energy medicine, total approach medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, chelation, and herbal medicines.

His leadership commitment is in the development and teaching of bio-energy and holistic medicine transformational healing with mind, body, and spirit integration and vibrational healing.

He has performed lectures and workshops on Holistic Medicine, Energy Health, Nutrition, Self-Healing, Oneness, God Particle Energy and Supra Scalar Energy Devices.

Rev. Plagenhoef, MD is the developer of SupraScalar Energy Products for Health and Environmental Geopathic Stress Control.  He is a Total Person Healing Counselor.

In addition, he has authored Aspects of Holistic Medicine; Why Am I Still Addicted? The Holistic Approach (McGraw-Hill 1991) and the forthcoming book:  The Way, The Truth and the Life!  Handbook of Self-Healing and Self-Mastery.

We are extremely fortunate to have Rev. Plagenhoef, MD visit our community.  He will be holding a free introductory lecture on the topic of Essential Requirements for High Level Wellness, Healing, and Acceleration in Self Empowerment.

The talk is free and open to the public and will be held at Penrose Library, Carnegie Room on Thursday June 5 from 6-8pm. 

He will also be facilitating a 2-day Acceleration and Empowerment Workshop on Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8 from 9am – 5pm, each day.  Registration is required. 

In addition, he will be offering Personal Sessions designed to facilitate total person wellness and awakening from Monday June 9-15, pre-registration suggested.
