Art Talk More Questions About Art By Judy Crowley
I normally don’t repeat an article but too many people are asking about the difference between the types of reproduced art… in other words… “what is the difference between a print or poster, lithograph and a giclee?” So I’ve decided to give some information that I have previously written about. A print, such as an open edition print or poster (an unlimited number of prints which can be printed for years, if the artist or publisher so desires.) is usually done in 4 color printing, which consists of three primary colors – red or magenta, yellow, blue and black, and is reproduced on different types of paper.
At The FAC Marilyn Monroe On Exhibit By Charlie Snyder, Director of Public Relations
Life as a Legend: Marilyn Monroe, on exhibit at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center from May 3 – July 6, captures the beauty, sensuality and vulnerability of an American icon, who many have described as the sexiest woman of the 20th Century. Experience the spark, sex appeal and sensation of Marilyn Monroe through the art of Andy Warhol, Christo, Douglas Kirkland, Robert Indiana, Mel Ramos, Richard Avedon, Bert Stern, Henri Cartier-Bresson and many others.
